Uplandme, Inc. was founded in 2018 by three serial entrepreneurs. The game launched into open beta in January 2020 and became the largest blockchain game just eight months later. Available for iOS, Android, and the mobile web, Upland uses blockchain technology to power “true ownership” of digital assets.

To expand our reach beyond blockchain aficionados and towards a mass-market audience, we are looking for a highly creative and organized content writer to create meaningful content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, in-game events, and the company website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, edit, test, and improve content that makes our brand come to life on our platforms, including, but not limited to, landing pages, user journey messaging, email campaigns, performance marketing, in-game events, blogs, articles and other brand activations
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive gap analysis to inform strategic content plays, including new content, content optimization, new content formats and innovative experiments that quickly grow traffic on relevant, high-value topics
  • Perform research on an as needed basis to ensure the production of engaging content for in-game events and activities
  • Ensure delivery and deployment of all communications all Company channels
  • Develop content for mobile-first social campaigns for brand marketing, content marketing, in-game events and ongoing promotions
  • Work autonomously and crossfunctionally with the Company’s Marketing and LiveOps teams while meeting deadlines and simultaneously unifying the Company’s overarching “voice”
  • Participate in a highly iterative feedback process, taking feedback from key stakeholders and making any necessary changes quickly and adroitly

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, english, journalism, or related field
  • 4+ years of proven content writing or copywriting experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an advertising agency or in-house setting, concepting and writing copy for global brands
  • Working knowledge of content management systems
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a corresponding professional portfolio
  • Experience and interest in product storytelling and project strategy
  • Proven project management experience and prioritization skills
  • Communication and presentation experience
  • Must be detail-oriented and analytical
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently in a highly cross-functional organization
  • Able to exercise initiative and use good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as problem-solving ability
