Developer Update: Sends Unleashed and Life Takes Root

We’re excited to announce two major changes coming to Upland, starting with how you move and where you grow!

No More Send Limits

Starting today, the send limit is officially gone. You can now move freely across Upland, with no cap on how many sends you can use. You’ll still pay send fees as usual, but collecting sends is now a thing of the past. As part of this update, sends have also been removed from the Upland Store.

This change opens up movement across the metaverse like never before, setting the stage for upcoming features that will rely on seamless travel, including Residents, Uppies, and Troves.

Life Begins: Nurseries Now Available

Phase One of the Life in Upland is officially beginning, and it’s focused on two things: building Nurseries (available now) and generating seeds (coming soon).

Starting today at 9AM PT, players can purchase Nurseries directly from the Upland Store and begin building them across their properties. Nurseries are a permanent store item, available anytime. Once you’ve bought one, it disappears from the store, signaling that you’re now able to build as many as you want on your properties.

This phase lays the groundwork for everything Life will become.

The second part of Phase One, seed generation, will go live in the coming weeks. When it does, only Nurseries with a Totem placed on them will be able to generate seeds, making Totem placement a core part of the Life system. We’ll share full details on how seed generation works once it goes live, stay tuned.

What’s Coming in Phase Two

Once seed generation is live, the next evolution of Life in Upland will begin with Phase Two, which will focus on planting and growing your seeds.

This phase won’t just bring your land to life, it also sets the stage for future Trove gameplay. Caring for plants will reward players with Troves, tying Life directly into Upland’s long-term progression. More details will be shared as we approach Phase Two.

What’s Next

The removal of send limits and the introduction of Nurseries are foundational steps. They mark the beginning of Life in Upland, a dynamic new chapter that blends movement, land, and creation in ways never before seen.
