Genesis Week Begins: TroveMania Is Here
June 08, 2026

Genesis Week is officially underway, and this year we are going Full Steam Ahead with TroveMania, the Alpha Test of Troves.
TroveMania is the primary way players will compete for and win prizes throughout the event, but it is also much bigger than a Genesis Week activity. This is our first public Alpha focused on the foundation of the Troves system itself. Not every UX element, game loop, or future feature is part of this test yet. The goal is to put the core system in players’ hands, learn from real participation, and use that feedback to keep building.
Troves are a major step toward connecting more of Upland together. Collecting, crafting, recipes, structures, plant life, ownership, resources, rewards, animals, Uppies, and future systems can all become more connected through Troves over time. We are pioneering this system alongside the Upland community and building something truly unique in gaming. TroveMania gives players an early look at the foundation of a system designed to grow with Upland for years to come.
Because this is an Alpha Test, players may experience issues along the way. We’ll be monitoring the Troves system closely throughout Genesis Week and may make adjustments as needed to keep the experience running smoothly. If anything comes up, our team will work to resolve it as quickly as possible. Your participation, feedback, and patience are incredibly valuable as we test, learn, and improve Troves together.
In this post, we’ll walk through everything you need to know, including how to collect Troves, how recipes work, how players can win prizes during Genesis Week, and everything else happening in celebration of Genesis Week 2026.
TroveMania opens Monday, June 8 at 9:00 AM PT and ends Friday, June 12 at 9:00 AM PT.
TroveMania
In past Genesis events, players have participated in activities like treasure hunting and special contests. This year, TroveMania is the main event.
Throughout Genesis Week, players will be able to explore the map, collect Troves, unlock recipes, craft higher-level Troves, and work toward special rewards.
This is your chance to test a major new feature while competing for prizes including:
- Uppies
- Sparklet
- Genome Troves
All three paths begin the same way: by collecting Troves. From there, the Troves players choose to pursue and the recipes they choose to craft will help determine which prize path they progress through.
Ownership will also matter. Players who collect Troves from structures and plant life they own will have a higher chance of receiving rarer Troves than they would from other structures and plants across the map. It’s one more reason why building, developing, and growing your properties in Upland can unlock new opportunities.
These paths are meant to be discovered as the Alpha Test unfolds. Players will need to collect, craft, experiment, and work with the community to understand how each path develops. The more Troves players collect and the more recipes they unlock, the clearer each path will become.
And for one lucky player, the ultimate prize awaits: the set of rare White Friesian Horse Genomes!

For TroveMania, there will be 186 different types of Troves available to collect.
In the future, there will be many more Troves across Upland. This Alpha Test is just a small sample.
Please note: At the end of Genesis Week, most Troves collected during the event will be removed from player accounts. The exception is Genome Troves, which are account-bound, will remain in your account, and will connect to future animal life features in Upland.
Troves Wallet and Map Icon
During Genesis Week, players will see a new Troves icon on the map. Selecting this icon will take you directly to your Trove Wallet, your main hub for everything you collect and unlock throughout the event.

In your Trove Wallet, you’ll be able to view your Trove balances and see how many Troves you’ve unlocked in each category as you work toward rewards.

How to Collect Troves
Players can collect Troves by browsing the map with you block explorer and interacting with eligible assets, including:
- Service Structures
- Plant Life
To collect a Trove, long press on the eligible asset, similar to how players currently pet plants in Upland.

For this Troves Alpha Test, collection is limited to Service Structures and Plant Life. In the future, players will be able to collect Troves from more types of assets across the map, including Residential Structures. This test also does not include any Block Explorer stamina or modifier utility tied to Troves; those systems will come later.
Different types of Troves can come from each eligible structure or plant. Once you collect any Trove type from a specific asset, that asset will enter a one-hour cooldown.
That means the cooldown applies only to that individual structure or plant life, not every asset of that type across Upland. Players can continue exploring the map to find other eligible structures or plants of the same type and collect those same Troves from different assets.
Collecting Troves from assets and structures you own gives you a higher chance of receiving additional rewards, so players may want to keep their own properties in mind as they explore and collect. This is one more reason why building up your properties in Upland can pay off in new and exciting ways.
During TroveMania, players can collect up to 1,000 Troves per day, so plan your collecting, crafting, and exploring accordingly. We’ll be monitoring the event closely throughout Genesis Week and may make adjustments or mix things up along the way to keep TroveMania running strong.
How Recipes Work
Recipes are how players turn collected Troves into additional Troves.
Players will start by collecting basic Troves from eligible structures and plant life across the map. As you collect Troves, you will begin unlocking recipes. A recipe unlocks when a player has collected at least one Trove included in that recipe.
As players collect Troves, they will begin unlocking recipes. A recipe unlocks when a player has collected at least one Trove included in that recipe. Once unlocked, players can view available crafting information from the full-screen view of the Service Structure where that recipe can be crafted. This view will show general information about what can be crafted at that specific Service Structure.

When you collect a Trove that unlocks a recipe, a pop-up will appear showing which recipe you unlocked. These recipes will then appear in the recipe tab in your trove wallet.

Crafting a recipe will burn the required Troves and create a guaranteed outcome Trove. However, recipes may also produce additional rewards. For example, if a recipe’s guaranteed outcome is Bread, a player may receive 1 Bread, 3 Bread, or Bread plus an additional unique Trove. The guaranteed result is always at least the recipe’s stated outcome Trove, but bonus results may vary.

Crafting at structures you own also gives you a higher chance of receiving additional rewards, so players may want to think strategically about where they craft.
Those newly crafted Troves can then unlock additional recipes, allowing players to progress deeper into the Troves system. As TroveMania unfolds, this recipe progression is what will help players move toward the three reward paths: Uppies, Sparklet, and Genome Troves.
How to Use Recipes:
- Go to a Service Structure.
- Open the new full-screen model view of that Service Structure.
- Select the Craft button.
- View the recipes available at that Service Structure.
- Select the recipe you want to craft. (More than one recipe may be available at a Service Structure)
- Use your collected Troves to craft new Troves.

The more Troves you collect and the more recipes you unlock, the more the reward paths will begin to reveal themselves.
Reward Troves & Prize Recipes
Reward Troves are special Troves that serve as key inputs for Prize Recipes. As players collect Troves, unlock recipes, and craft their way through TroveMania, they will begin collecting the Reward Troves needed to unlock TroveMania prizes.
During TroveMania, there are three types of Reward Troves players can collect:
- DNA Strands, which lead to Genome Trove prizes
- Friend Requests, which lead to Uppie prizes
- Sparklet Shards, which lead to Sparklet Trove prizes

Prize Recipes will not be available immediately when TroveMania begins. They will unlock on Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 AM PT, giving players time to collect Troves, discover recipes, and prepare for the prize-claiming stage of the event.
When Prize Recipes are released, they will include details on what players need to combine to claim each prize. These recipes may require players to combine Reward Troves with other Troves, so collecting a wide variety of Troves will be important.
Troves can be collected until Friday, June 12 at 9:00 AM PT. After collection ends, players will still have the entire weekend to fulfill Prize Recipes and claim as many rewards as possible before Prize Recipe crafting closes on Monday, June 15 at 9:00 AM PT.
To make the most of TroveMania, players should collect as many Troves, as many different types of Troves, and as many Reward Troves as possible. The more prepared you are when Prize Recipes unlock, the more rewards you’ll be able to claim.
Genome Troves
Genome Troves are one of the most exciting rewards in TroveMania because they offer an early look at the future of life in Upland. During Genesis Week, players may collect DNA Strand Troves and convert them to Genome Troves for farm animals such as chickens, pigs and sheep.
In the future, players will be able to combine one male Genome Trove, one female Genome Trove, plus additional potential inputs like Color Troves or resource requirements to create the animal in Upland.

While this Alpha Test begins with farm animals, Genome Troves are planned to expand beyond farms over time, including pets and other forms of life in Upland.
The rarest Genome Trove reward during Genesis Week is the White Friesian Horse. One lucky player will win the Genome Trove set (both genomes) needed for this rare animal.

To qualify for the White Friesian Horse drawing, players must discover all 186 Troves available during TroveMania. Every player who completes the full set will earn one entry into the drawing.
If no player discovers all 186 Troves, the prize will go to the player who discovers the most unique Troves during the event. If multiple players are tied for the highest number of unique Troves discovered, the winner will be selected through a random drawing from those tied players.
To help players plan, explore, and track what they still need, we’ve created a dedicated website listing all Troves available with additional info on where they can be collected or crafted during TroveMania.
You can view the full Troves list here when it goes live in the next few hours: upland.me/gw-troves
Players can track their Collect Them All progress directly in the app. At the top of the Troves section, players will see a count showing how many unique Troves they have discovered, such as 18/186 Troves.
For the Collect Them All reward, a Trove still counts as discovered even if you later use it in a recipe. Once a Trove appears in your Trove Wallet, it counts toward your collection progress, even if the quantity later shows as zero.

Genome Troves are account-bound, which means they cannot be sold or traded, and they will remain in your account after the TroveMania ends. All other troves will be wiped after the test is over.
During TroveMania, players can collect Genome Troves for farm animals including Chickens, Pigs, Goats, and Horses. Players can collect as many Genome Troves as possible during Genesis Week. There is no cap on Genome Troves.
The only exception is the White Friesian Horse Grand Prize Genome Trove set (one male and one female), which is limited to one set and will be awarded to one lucky winner.
Animal life is a major development feature and is still a ways out, but Genesis Week gives players the first opportunity to begin collecting the Genome Troves that will connect to that future system. Uncapped.
While Genome Troves themselves are account-bound, the animals created from them may be tradable in the future.
Uppie Troves
Uppie Troves give players a path to mint Uppies during TroveMania.
To begin working toward Uppies, players will first collect Friend Requests, which are the Reward Troves used in Uppie Prize Recipes. When Prize Recipes unlock, players will be able to turn in Friend Requests, along with any other required Troves, to craft different levels of Uppie Prize Troves.
These Uppie Prize Troves may include levels such as L1, L2, L5, and more. The level of Uppie Prize Trove a player crafts represents the level of Uppie they will be rewarded after Genesis Week.
Different levels of Uppie Prize Troves will require different amounts of Friend Requests and other required Troves to craft. Players will need to decide how they want to use the Friend Requests they collect, whether that means crafting multiple lower-level Uppie Prize Troves or working toward higher-level Uppie Prize Troves.
Higher-level Uppie Prize Troves will be capped, so availability will be limited. Full Uppie Prize Recipe details, including crafting requirements and player limits, will be revealed when Prize Recipes drop on Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 AM PT

This Uppie system is specific to the Troves Alpha Test. It is not how befriending Uppies will work in the future, but for TroveMania, Friend Requests and Uppie Troves are how players will work toward minting Uppies as prizes.
Sparklet Troves
Sparklet Troves give players a path to earn Sparklet through TroveMania.
To begin working toward Sparklet, players will collect Sparklet Shard Troves, which are the Reward Troves used in Sparklet Prize Recipes. When Prize Recipes unlock on Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 AM PT, players will be able to turn in Sparklet Shards, along with any other required Troves, to receive different levels of Sparklet Troves.
Each level of Sparklet Trove will represent a different amount of Sparklet that players will be rewarded after Genesis Week. The exact Sparklet amounts, crafting requirements, and any limits will be revealed when Prize Recipes drop on Thursday.
Players will need to decide how they want to use the Sparklet Shards they collect, whether that means crafting multiple lower-level Sparklet Troves or working toward higher-level Sparklet Troves.
