Troves Launch Weekend: Collect, Bank, and Compete

Troves Launch Weekend: Collect, Bank, and Compete

Editor’s note: Trove Bankers leaderboard scoring has been updated to recognize higher banking tiers. Each eligible Trove type earns 1 point at Bronze or 3 points at Silver, with only its highest tier counting. Upgrading from Bronze to Silver adds 2 points to your score. Trove Collectors scoring and all announced prizes remain unchanged.

Troves are now live in Upland, and we’re celebrating with a first-weekend challenge: collect Troves, bank Troves, and compete for up to 1.75 million UPX in prizes. From launch through Monday, October 26 at 9:00 a.m. PT, explore structures and plants, build your collection, and make your first permanent deposits. Bring a returning friend or a first-time player, compare finds, and make the first Troves weekend one to remember.

Then, join the Upland team next Tuesday for Troves: The Bigger Picture, a live conversation with Upland Co-Founder Idan Zuckerman about why Troves are a major step for Upland, what we’re learning from the launch, and what’s coming next. Get hands-on this weekend, then join us to explore where Troves will take Upland.

Two Ways to Compete

There is no entry form or screenshot submission. Eligible game activity during the competition window counts automatically.

  • Trove Collectors: Ranked by the total number of individual Troves collected from structures and plants during the competition. Every eligible Trove, including duplicates, counts as one. Trove Dust, opening inventory, promotional or administrative grants, quiz rewards, and purchased packs do not count. Banking never reduces your Collector score: it measures earned collection quantity, not what remains in your inventory.
  • Trove Bankers: Trove Bankers: Climb the leaderboard by banking different Troves and upgrading them to Silver. Each Bronze-banked Trove type earns 1 point, while each Silver-banked Trove type earns 3 points. Only your highest tier for each Trove type counts, so upgrading from Bronze to Silver adds 2 points to your score

You can compete on both leaderboards, earn ranked prizes on both, and collect both leaderboard badges if you finish in the top 25 on each.

Prizes for Each Leaderboard

The following UPX ladder applies separately to Trove Collectors and Trove Bankers:

  • 1st: 100,000 UPX
  • 2nd: 75,000 UPX
  • 3rd: 50,000 UPX
  • 4th–10th: 25,000 UPX each
  • 11th–25th: 15,000 UPX each

Every top-25 finisher also earns that leaderboard’s badge. All top-25 Collectors receive the same Troves Launch Weekend: Collectorbadge, and all top-25 Bankers receive the same Troves Launch Weekend: Bankerbadge. There is one badge for each leaderboard, not a different badge for each placement.

Participation Draw

You do not need a top-25 finish to have a chance at UPX. Up to 50 qualifying players who do not receive a ranked top-25 prize on either leaderboard will be selected at random, without replacement, to receive 10,000 UPX each.

To earn one entry in the participation draw, complete both requirements during the competition:

  • Collect at least 10 eligible non-Dust Troves on each of two different PT calendar dates. Collection quantities count, not ten separate collection attempts, and the same source exclusions used for the Trove Collectors leaderboard apply.
  • Bank enough eligible Troves to reach Bronze on at least three distinct eligible Trove types during the event.

Each qualifying player receives one entry, no matter how far beyond the requirements they go. Players receiving a top-25 prize on either leaderboard are excluded from the draw. If fewer than 50 eligible non-ranked players qualify, each qualifying player receives 2,000 UPX; unused prize allocations will not be increased or redistributed. The participation draw does not award a badge.

How Ties Are Settled

For the Trove Collectors leaderboard, a tie goes first to the player who collected more distinct eligible Trove types. For the Trove Bankers leaderboard, a tie goes first to the player who banked more distinct eligible Trove types during the competition. If players are still exactly tied, their order will be decided by a random draw.

Start Exploring

The first Troves weekend begins now and ends on Monday, October 26 at 9:00 a.m. PT. Collect what you can, decide what belongs in your Vault forever, and see how high you can climb on both leaderboards.

Share the challenge with your friends, help each other discover new Troves, and bring your neighborhood into the competition. We cannot wait to see what you collect, what you bank, and who rises to the top. See you in Upland!
