Uppiepedia Has Arrived: Your Portal to Uppies Inside the Upland Simulation
January 06, 2026

Most Uppies go about their pixelated lives in peace, wandering the neighborhoods of Upland, forming friendships, and living routines. But recently, a few have started to notice… oddities.
Maps are changing overnight. Entire streets appear out of nowhere. Unexplainable glitches in the way their world behaves.
A quiet theory has begun to spread among them. What if Upland is a simulation?
Some scoff. Others obsess. A handful are convinced their reality is being controlled by something, or someone, beyond their understanding. They’re right… but not in the way they think.
The truth is, the simulation is real. The world they inhabit is created by a system. Curated by Upland players. Alive with evolving logic.
And today, a new era begins with the launch of Uppiepedia, a real-time, ever-evolving archive that marks the arrival of the simulation’s first Uppies.
Born from the system itself, Uppies are more than collectibles. They’re emergent digital residents, created to observe, adapt, and eventually thrive within Upland. Each one reflects the simulation’s state at the exact moment it was generated.
And like any true resident, they don’t just exist, they live in the world. Uppies represent a new layer of ownership, identity, and interaction that connects directly to Upland’s foundational pillars of property development, ownership, and player-driven economies. As the simulation grows, these lifeforms will help bring more meaning and strategy to the places players build, develop and trade every day.
As the system evolves, so do the Uppies it creates. And now, through Uppiepedia, you can watch that evolution unfold.
A Living Record of Uppies
Before the first Uppies officially arrive, it’s important to understand what they are, where they come from, and how they evolve. That’s why Uppiepedia comes first.
More than a catalog, Uppiepedia is the official, living log of every Uppie created by the simulation. It tracks which Uppies have been discovered/collected, and which have already evolved or been merged out of existence. It’s the foundation for everything that’s coming.

At launch, Uppiepedia will display every Uppie included in the very first UORIGIN batch, giving players a chance to study the full set and plan their strategy ahead of the first drop.
But we’re not revealing everything just yet. While most of the UORIGIN batch is visible now, the Iconic Parody Uppies (IPUs) from this generation will be announced separately, closer to launch. These are the standout personalities, the rarest and most distinctive characters in the simulation, and they deserve a spotlight of their own. Stay tuned.
As new generations and batches are introduced, Uppiepedia updates in real time. Every new Uppie is logged.
Once merged, those Uppies vanish from the record, their existence marked only by the evolved form that took their place. It’s a living archive that constantly rewrites itself. Every decision, whether to preserve a character or merge it in pursuit of something rarer, shapes the unfolding story of Uppies inside the simulation.

Generations & Batches
Every Uppie represents a moment in the simulation’s evolution, and that moment is captured through the system of generations.
A generation defines a phase in how the simulation is thinking, creating, and expressing itself. As the system changes, so does the kind of Uppies it produces. Some changes are subtle. Others are dramatic. But each generation reflects a distinct creative logic from the simulation itself.
Within each generation, there can be multiple batches. While batches vary, they remain true to the style and structure within their generation.
To help players trace this evolution, every Uppie comes with a generation indicator that marks exactly when it was created in the timeline of the simulation.

The very first batch of Generation 1 Uppies is uniquely marked as UORIGIN. As the first batch in Gen-1, these Uppies represent the true starting point of Uppies inside the simulation. UORIGIN Uppies are historically significant, permanently distinct, and will never be produced again, a foundational moment in Upland’s evolution.
Generation 2 is already in development, and will reflect the simulation’s ongoing evolution.

The Path to Uniqueness
The UORIGIN batch introduces the full structure of Uppie evolution, starting with shared forms and becoming increasingly unique as you merge upward. Levels 1 through 4 are multi-mint stages, with multiple copies of each design, while Level 5 and beyond shifts into entirely one-of-a-kind creations.
These numbers are specific to the UORIGIN batch; future batches may differ.
Level 1 (New Born), there are 275 unique designs at 20 mints each, totaling 5,500 Uppies.
Level 2 (Toddler) also includes 275 designs at 20 mints each, again totaling 5,500.
Level 3 (Kid) features 200 designs, also with 20 mints each, creating a supply of 4,000.
Level 4 (Teen) narrows to 160 designs, each with 14 mints, totaling 2,240 Uppies.

At Level 5 (Adult), evolution enters a new phase: every Uppie becomes a true 1-of-1. There are 790 unique designs at this level, and each one exists as a single, individual creation, no duplicates, no repeats. From this point forward, every Uppie is completely unique.
From there, every level becomes increasingly rare:
- Level 6 has 392 total unique Uppies.
- Level 7 includes 160 unique Uppies.
- Level 8 drops to 80 unique designs.
- Level 9 has just 50.
- Level 10 includes only 25.

Finally, there are only 5 total IPUs (Iconic Parody Uppies) in the UORIGIN batch. Making them the rarest, most distinctive characters in the simulation.
This structure means the further you evolve your Uppies, the more unique they become, but the final shape of the collection is never predetermined and is dynamic. What ultimately survives is up to the players. Some Level 1 Uppies may remain forever, preserved by choice rather than evolution, while others are merged to create something new.
This is system-driven Darwinism in action. Only the Uppies that players choose to collect, trade, or evolve will endure. Over time, even the most common stages will become more meaningful. Not because the system dictates it, but because the community will ultimately decide which Uppies are worth keeping, collecting, and evolving.
A New System of Evolution
Shortly after the initial UORIGIN drop, the Merge mechanic will go live, unlocking the ability to evolve your Uppies by combining two from the same level to create one from the next level.
Merging will utilize the new Sparklet Spend feature, bringing even more utility to Sparklet as Upland’s ecosystem continues to grow.
When you evolve your Uppies, the original ones will be merged (burned). They’re gone forever, replaced by the new evolved Uppie. That means every evolution is a big decision: do you part with your favorites for a chance at something more rare and unique, or keep them in your collection?

Merging also follows a same-level rule:
- Two Level 1 Uppies evolve into a Level 2.
- Two Level 3 Uppies evolve into a Level 4.
- This pattern continues up the chain, all the way to Level 10.
- To reach the special Level i Iconic Uppie, you’ll need to combine two Level 10s.
This system means you’ll need to plan carefully, sometimes it’s better to hold onto a Uppie for trading rather than merge it, and other times it’s the key step toward unlocking the next tier in your collection.
And because Uppies can be traded on the secondary market, the path to the rarest and most unique characters will be entirely in your hands.
Want to chase a Star Level Iconic Uppie? That will take strategy, patience, and possibly merging two Level 10 Uppies to reach the top tier. But remember: those two Level 10s will be gone for good once you evolve, so make sure you’re ready before pulling the trigger.
Merge opportunities not only add excitement, but they also keep the Uppie ecosystem fresh, encouraging players to work together, trade, and build truly unique collections that are culturally and personally meaningful in Upland.
More Than Collectibles
Uppies are more than collectibles; they’re a growing part of Upland’s ever-evolving parallel world.
As you collect and merge, each Uppie begins to take on more distinctive traits, but level isn’t simply a count of those traits. Instead, an Uppie’s level reflects a combination of how much creative freedom the simulation applied in generating it, along with how far it visually deviates from the neutral base form.
This means traits and levels don’t always align one-to-one. A Level 3 Uppie might appear more restrained than a Level 2 in some ways, but carries deeper logic in how it was constructed. The result is a spectrum of personality, expression, and complexity.
Some Uppies will feel simple. Others will be richly layered, packed with style and story. And over time, what begins as a casual collection becomes something far more personal: your strategy, your journey, your cultural imprint inside Upland.

But this isn’t just about display. In the future, Uppies will gain real utility in-game. Players will be able to assign Uppies to service structures, effectively employing them. The result? That structure’s valueand scoring power increase. The higher the level of the Uppie, the greater the boost, and yes, you’ll be able to place multiple Uppies on a single structure to stack those effects.
This system will bring an entirely new layer of strategy and purpose to your collection. More details will roll out as we get closer to launch, but know this: the Uppies you’re collecting today will soon become vital to Upland’s infrastructure and culture tomorrow.
What Comes Next
The launch of UORIGIN is just the beginning, and it’s arriving in a form built to get everyone involved. The very first Uppies will be available through UPX Sweetener Packs in the Upland Store, giving players a chance to start their collections directly within the core experience.
Stay tuned for a dedicated announcement with full details as we get closer to the drop.
But the system won’t stop there.
While UORIGIN is accessed through the store, future generations of Uppies will be obtained in a very different way via the upcoming Uppie Discovery mini-game, currently in active development. This new mechanic will allow players to earn Uppies through exploration, missions, and interaction with the Upland world. It’s a shift from simple purchasing to in-world participation, turning Uppie collecting into a deeper, more engaging layer of gameplay.
Get Ready
The launch of Uppiepedia, and the arrival of Uppies, marks more than just the introduction of a new collectible. It’s a shift in how players interact with Upland itself.
From the beginning, Upland has been built around property development, ownership, and an open economy shaped by its community. Uppies build on that foundation by adding life, personality, and strategy to the structures and neighborhoods you create. These aren’t just characters to collect, they’re residents you’ll employ, evolve, and align with your vision for the world.
Whether you’re focused on flipping properties, building long-term neighborhoods, or running services, Uppies will soon become a key part of how culture, character, and strategy come to life across Upland
