With Uppies on the horizon and a preview of some of the upcoming UI changes the Upland community is steadily preparing for the upcoming Resident drop, it’s time to continue expanding the services and experiences that will make your neighborhoods truly shine.

This week, we’re dropping a fresh batch of limited-time Service Structures, introducing new ways to attract Uppies and grow your Influence Score. These structures are available to all players with Uplander status and above, no registration required. Just be ready when the sale goes live!

Introducing Multi-Purpose Service Structures

For the first time, Upland is introducing multi-purpose structures, a brand-new type of buildings designed to serve more than one role in attracting Uppies to your neighborhoods. Traditionally, Service Structures have been tied to a single category, such as Essential, Entertainment, Public Services, Transportation and Employment. Multi-purpose structures break that mold by offering benefits across multiple categories, giving you more flexibility and strategic depth in your builds.

When Residents arrive, your Influence Score and neighborhood appeal will depend on a well-rounded mix of services. Multi-purpose structures help you cover more bases with fewer properties.

This week’s drop features the very first examples of this new type of structure:

Super Market Super Store(See image below)

• Primary Function: Essential — This is a full-scale supermarket providing all the basics Uppies need.
• Bonus Function: Entertainment — The attached café gives your neighborhood a small entertainment boost, helping to attract even more Uppies.

High School(See image below)

• Primary Function: Public Service — A cornerstone of any community, the high school serves as an educational hub for Uppies preparing for the future.
• Bonus Function: Entertainment — The on-site football field brings a lively Friday night game atmosphere, adding a touch of fun and community spirit.

These two hybrid builds are just the beginning! Expect even more multi-purpose Service Structures in future drops as Upland continues to evolve into a fully Resident-ready world.

Service Structures are essential to building vibrant, functional communities where Uppies want to live and spend time. As we gear up for the full arrival of Residents in the coming months, these drops will play a big role in shaping the Upland of tomorrow.

Once you purchase a Service Structure, you own the permanent right to build it on any compatible property. These structures not only attract Uppies but also contribute to your Influence Score, a major factor in the Resident ecosystem.
