We are proud and excited to announce the arrival of NFLPA Memento Primary Markets. Now, across the Upland metaverse, players can travel to NFLPA Shops & Stadiums to register for an opportunity to mint the rarest NFLPA Legits, known as Mementos! Early tomorrow morning PT, on Thursday, December 16th, we will open up registration for the Thursday night football game on the Web Version of the Upland App; mobile versions will be enabled upon version approval. Players will receive a 1-hour heads up before registration begins to ensure fair competition.
Minting Mementos
Each week for the remainder of the football season, players will have the opportunity to register for Memento Early Sales. Players can follow their favorite teams as they compete across the US and mint their stat-driven, one-of-a-kind Mementos for upcoming games.
To register, simply “send” your Block Explorer to the team’s NFLPA
Shop or Stadium of your choice and select the team you would like to
register for. Once your Block Explorer enters a shop, you will see
details for the upcoming Sales such as when you can register for the
Early Sale, when the Early Sale starts, or when you can mint a
Memento (if there are any left after the Early Sale). Your Block
Explorer will not leave this location while you are in the shop
menu.

Get ready to mint your NFLPA Legit Mementos! Here is a step-by-step guide for the NFLPA Memento Primary Markets:
After the Early Sale ends, the Limited Sale period will begin, which
allows all users to mint any Mementos that were unminted during the
Early Sale. During the Limited Sale, players can mint Mementos for
their team, but there will be a 5-minute cooldown after each
mint.
Finally, we have the Unlimited Sale. After the Limited Sale period concludes, usually a few hours after the game is over, players can mint any unminted Mementos for either team without any cooldown.
Leveraging Fan Score
Once registration ends, registered players will be notified when the Early Sale starts. This is when they can return to the NFLPA Shop or Stadium and view their queue position. Players with higher fan scores for each respective team will have better chances to be selected to mint a Memento for upcoming games. Although players can improve their odds–by being among the first 200 registrants or by boosting their fan scores–there’s no guarantee of being selected, and all players will always have a slim chance of being drawn. It’s also important to note that your fan score is taken into account at the time of drawing, so players are free to continue boosting their fan scores after registration, right up until the point the selection process begins.
Also, keep in mind that you can only register for
one team at each location per day
(every 24 hours). This means if Chicago is playing Green Bay, you
will only be able to register for either of these teams, not both.
If another game takes place at your previously registered location
on the same day, you will not be able to register for either of
those teams.
Sale Phases
As games take place throughout the season, there will be various opportunities to mint new Mementos. Each sale will be broken out into 3 phases, the Early Sale, the Limited Sale, and the Unlimited Sale.
During the Early Sale, pre-registered players will receive a
notification once it is their turn to check-in at the Stadium (or
NFLPA Shop) and mint one Memento for the team they previously
registered for. Other players can also mint Mementos during this
phase, so be sure to move quickly during your turn! After the Early
Sale concludes, the Limited Sale will begin, which allows all users
to mint any Mementos from either team that were not minted during
the Early Sale. During the Limited sale, a 5-minute cooldown will be
applied after each purchase to prevent any one player from
purchasing the entire inventory. Finally, after the conclusion of
the Limited Sale, the Unlimited Sale will begin, which allows
players to mint any unminted Mementos for either team,
without any applied cooldowns for up to 48 hours after the game.
Adjusted Fan Score Penalty
If a player is among the top 100 players selected for a specific team during the Early Sale, that player will have a decreased Adjusted Fan Score the next time they attempt to register for any of the next four games for that same team. If a player is selected among the top 100 before the penalty expires, the fan score penalty will stack. Please also note that the penalty is higher depending on your position; players who are 1st in line will receive the highest penalty.
Stadiums & NFLPA Fan Shops
Mementos for each game of the regular season will be mintable
directly at the relative Stadium or NFLPA Shop in Upland. These
shops will be marked by pins that live on top of the Upland map.
Players can also find each Stadium by navigating to the Quick Menu
at the bottom of the screen, selecting “NFLPA Legits,” and then
“Stadiums”. Selecting the team of your choice will focus the camera
on the relevant team shop for easy access.

Legits Delivery
Players should expect to receive their minted Mementos within 3 business days of their purchase. Upon delivery, players will receive a box containing all of their purchased Legits which will trigger an opening animation that will highlight each item and deposit it into the player’s asset wallet.
Looking Ahead
The launch of NFLPA Memento Primary Markets is a massive milestone towards strengthening and empowering the Upland economy. For the very first time, players can actually pick the NFTs they are looking to acquire and the final result will be a historical account of their performance for that day. This feat not only enables the deployment of the first location-based shop experiences in Upland but creates a clear pathway towards the launch of other similar features, such as Metaventures! Player-owned NFLPA Fan Shops will be a lucrative way for both Metaventure entrepreneurs and players to leverage the full body of their Legits portfolio to generate both UPX and USD.
