With the release of Queens, all five of New York City’s famous boroughs finally open in Upland! This momentous occasion means that once all properties have been minted, the only way to get new properties in the the NYC region will be to trade. To kick things off in Queens, we are hosting a giveaway challenge for the “Queens Trader” Block Explorer. Starting Monday, April 18th, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT, players can complete activities to earn entries into the giveaway and improve their chances to win.

The Queens Trading Challenge

Each day, players can earn entities into the giveaway by completing specific activities in Queens. While there is a maximum amount of entries that can be earned each day, the counter resets every 24 hours and additional activity will be rewarded with more entries. Complete these activities each day during the Challenge to improve your chances of winning!

Start Time: Monday, April 18th, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT

End Time: Thursday, April 21st, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT

Earning Entries

There are 4 activities to complete during the challenge and each grants the player a certain number of entries in the giveaway for the "Queens Trader" Block Explorer. Players can earn a total of 99 entries for the Queens Trading Challenge by completing the actions listed below:

Sends

• Each Send used earns 1 entry, up to a maximum of 3 entries per day.
• Total maximum entries from Sends: 9 Entries

Property Mints

• Each Property Minted earns 5 entries, up to a maximum of 10 entries per day.
• Total maximum entries from Mints: 30 Entries

Property Sales

• Each Property Sold earns 5 entries, up to a maximum of 10 entries per day.
• Total maximum entries from Property Sale: 30 Entries

Property Purchases

• Each Property Purchased earns 5 entries, up to a maximum of 10 entries per day.
• Total maximum entries from Property Purchases: 30 Entries

Note: Each “day” resets at 9:00 AM PT. To earn the maximum number of entries, players should look to complete the necessary actions every 24 hours starting on Monday, April 18th, 2022 at 9:00 AM PT.

Rewards

Upon completion of the Queens Trading Challenge, 200 lucky participants will be drawn to win the “Queens Trader” Block Explorer! 

A Note on the Thrifty Trader Challenge

Typically, just after a city launches, players might expect to compete for that city’s elusive “City Trader” BE in the Thrifty Trader Challenge. Unfortunately, this challenge demands considerable manpower, resources, and time, which means the current experience leaves much to be desired. As such, we will be tabling this challenge while we work to improve it based on feedback from the community. Our goal is to reintroduce the Thrifty Trader with updated mechanics, increased transparency, and a better overall experience sometime in the near future!
