Fire up your Factories and polish your Showrooms. Applications for Structure Ornament Metaventures are in full swing! Starting today, players can apply for a Structure Ornament Showroom or Factory (or both). After approval, players can open their new Structure Ornament Metaventures on any property that’s big enough for the approved structures and inventory needed to run their business.

Structure Ornament Metaventures are a major step in Upland’s evolution as a digital economy. This brings a whole new branch of player-owned Metaventures delivering unique, player-designed Structure Ornaments to the metaverse!

Structure Ornament Metaventure Application Details

Players interested in opening a Structure Ornament Metaventure have a few options. Players can:

• Apply to open a Structure Ornament Showroom.
• Apply to open a Structure Ornament Factory.
• Apply to open both a Factory and Showroom for Structure Ornaments.

During the application process, players will need to submit separate applications for a Showroom and Factory. Players can also start with one Metaventure (for only a Showroom or Factory) and then apply for the other Metaventure at a later date if they wish.

Applications are reviewed by the Upland team and are not guaranteed approval. There is an application queue, and wait times for application processing differ depending on the type of Metaventure. Submitting more than one application for each type will result in a delay in application processing time. Thank you for your patience during the review process!

Structure Ornament Showroom Application Requirements

Please follow our requirements below to maximize your chances of approval. Remember that applications must meet all requirements below.

• The applicant must have a fully-constructed Showroom structure of any size as of the date of application.
• The property where the showroom is located cannot be used in any other Metaventure application (e.g., a showroom used in an Outdoor Decor Showroom application will not be approved for a Structure Ornament Showroom application).
• Property with showroom may not be listed for sale or in offer.

• The applicant must own a minimum of six Structure Ornament assets.
• The applicant must complete KYC identity verification before submitting the application.
• The applicant status must be an Uplander or above. 
• The applicant cannot be in Alcatraz. 
• The applicant must agree to pay monthly Venture Dues (Upland’s dynamic model of operating fees for Metaventures).
• The Metaventure name submitted in the application cannot include the word “Upland” or any other IP.
• Applicants must submit three showroom background images (via email) after applying. (Click on the application link below for details.)

Players do not need to worry about reserving a significant amount of space on their properties for either application type. We will share at a later date some updates to how we will display the ornaments. Hint: they will not occupy a lot of space!

Structure Ornament Factory Application Requirements

Successful applications will meet all the requirements listed below. Please follow our requirements list closely to maximize your chances of approval.  

‍

• The applicant must have a fully-constructed Factory structure (either a Medium or Large Factory) at the time of submission. 
• The Factory property cannot be part of another Metaventure or Metaventure application.
• Property with factory may not be listed for sale or in offer.

• The applicant must have a minimum of 5 Spark at the time of application. 
• The applicant must be ready to share (via email) a manufacturing plan, including Structure Ornament names and descriptions. This includes the maximum number of mints of each Structure Ornament and the ornaments’ compatible structures (i.e., type of buildings). More details can be provided at a later date, but we need to understand the plan (Note: Ornament preview images won’t be required at this stage).
• The applicant must complete KYC identity verification before submitting the application.
• The applicant status must be an Uplander or above. 
• The applicant cannot be in Alcatraz. 
• The applicant must agree to pay monthly Venture Dues (Upland’s dynamic model of operating fees for Metaventures).
• The Metaventure name submitted in the application cannot include the word “Upland” or any other IP.

Players who are approved to open a Factory will need to share designs for the Structure Ornaments they plan on producing, but will do so after the application is approved. Full technical and design specifications for structure ornaments will be shared ASAP. This will help players decide if they are qualified for running a Factory, because in order to be approved, players will need to begin working on designs and submit them for Upland's review.

Designs often go through multiple Upland team reviews before making their way to a player’s factory for production. No specific turnaround time can be guaranteed for a model. When models are approved, Upland will share the cost to produce in terms of Spark hours per model.

Structure Ornaments are seasonal items, meaning they can only be applied to a structure during specific times of the year. For example, our Halloween Structure Ornaments only apply to the Halloween season in October. Accordingly, players must request the season of each Structure Ornament when submitting their designs (submission form to be shared at a later date). The Upland team will determine if the Structure Ornament design conforms to the proposed season and may reject the submission if there is an issue. If rejected, players will be given alternative options for those models.

Last year, Metaventures exploded in Upland, and now players the orange Metaventure pips are all over the place! In fact, there are currently 260 live Metaventures. More applications pour in every day, showing that there’s no stopping our players’ hunger to develop a digital business in the metaverse!
