Wednesday, April 24th, at 9 AM PT, we will
officially open the virtual doors to
Washington DC, one of the
most iconic cities in the
United States. This launch is set to bring
approximately 28,000 properties across
35 vibrant neighborhoods in its initial
phase. Keep an eye out for additional expansions in the future, as
this is just the beginning.
Due to its status as one of the
most exclusive cities in America, Washington DC will feature
no FSA properties. Expect to spend a premium
to secure a property in Washington DC, as the market is set to
reflect the city's real-world prestige and high value.

for temporary collections, enhancing the
experience of city launches in Upland.

Explore these diverse areas and discover the unique
characteristics each has to offer in Washington DC. Please note that
the National Mall neighborhood will remain locked during this
release.
Terminal sales for Washington DC will commence following the city's release.
All UPX proceeds generated from travel through Washington DC terminals will be distributed evenly among the terminal owners, allowing them to share in the benefits of the UPX collected during the city's launch.

We're thrilled to introduce a new feature for city openings: the City Opening Scavenger Hunt. During the launch of Washington DC, players will find assets scattered across random unminted properties. These properties with assets, varying in size, will be available only for the first few hours after the opening.
Players who secure these properties can include them in a special, temporary "Patriotic" collection. This collection will not only boost their earnings but also provide a one-time UPX bonus.
Please note, these assets will be cleared from all properties on the map at 11 AM PT. Properties minted with these assets cannot be traded or sold until after the assets are removed. These properties will be able to be placed in a special temporary collection.
On April 25th, the day after the launch, the
special temporary collections will become available in-game,
allowing you to place these properties in them
for added benefits. These collections, which include
exclusive, rare,
and ultra-rare options, will be
open for 30 days. After this period, they
will be retired from Upland, so make sure to
take full advantage of them while they last!

the addresses for each collection and publish them in this post.
This
mechanic is a trial run for city openings.

A unique Washington D.C. property will be reserved for the holder of this exclusive pass. Anyone possessing the pass on May 2nd at 9 AM PT will have a 15% chance that the property is part of a collection. While the pass guarantees access to a specific Washington D.C. property, it does not cover the minting costs associated with claiming it.
These passes are tradable, and a crucial snapshot will be taken on May 2nd at 9 AM PT. At this time, pass holders will be assigned a specific address in D.C. to mint, which will be announced in the #Live-Updates chat channel in-game.
The minting deadline is set for
Monday, May 6th at 9 AM PT. After this
deadline, any properties that remain unminted will be
released for public minting
at an unspecified date and time. Players
interested in these properties should
stay alert and
act swiftly to acquire them.
Additionally, as a keepsake of this significant launch, players can retain their passes as unique souvenirs of the event.
