The Construction Hub Is Coming to Upland During Frost Season: A New Era for Builders
January 20, 2026

We’re excited to announce that the highly anticipated Construction Hub is officially on its way to Upland and it’s set to arrive during Frost Season!
Originally revealed back in September, the Construction Hub is now becoming a reality. Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work shaping this major feature, and now we’re ready to show you what it looks like, how it works, and why it marks such a pivotal moment in Upland’s evolution.
This is more than just a new feature, it’s a major step forward in building Upland into a true city builder, where every player has a role in shaping a living, breathing digital world.
What Is the Construction Hub?
At its core, the Construction Hub is a brand-new marketplace that enables players to build structures for others. It brings to life the future we’ve long envisioned for Upland: a world where players can specialize as builders, entrepreneurs, service providers, and more.
Whether you’re a long-time property owner or a blueprint-collecting builder, the Construction Hub introduces a new layer of collaboration and opportunity.
The Construction Hub will be accessible directly in the Upland app and will include three main tabs:
Contracts Tab
This is where builders can browse available construction contracts placed by other players. If you own the blueprint for a structure someone wants built, you’ll be eligible to accept their contract, but only when you’rewithin discovery range of the property.
If you spot a contract that’s outside your current range, you can still click on it to trigger a Simple Travel prompt. Once you arrive and disembark at the destination, you’ll receive a second prompt allowing you to officially accept the contract, but be quick. Contracts are first come, first served, and someone else can claim the job while you’re en route.
The property owner will have already staked their Sparklet and selected the building placement. All that’s left is for you to bring the blueprint and begin construction.
This system adds a strategic layer to contract selection. Being in the same city or close enough to quickly travel can make all the difference. It’s not just about having the right blueprint; it’s also about timing and location.
Note: You can only fulfill one contract at a time, and there will be a cooldown period before accepting a new one.

My Contracts Tab
Here, you can manage your own construction requests, retract unclaimed requests, and keep tabs on the buildings you’re commissioning. All Contracts will have an expiration date, so be sure to monitor them.

History Tab
This tab gives players a full view of their contract history including fulfilled builds and who completed them. It’s a great way to track your activity and collaborations over time.

Why It Matters
The Construction Hub is a major step forward in expanding Upland’s builder economy. It reinforces the game’s core pillars of ownership, entrepreneurship, and community, allowing for a deeper and more strategic player-driven experience.
This system encourages cooperation and economic specialization. Whether you’re building out neighborhoods, or fulfilling contracts across cities. Every structure placed on the map now carries more weight, purpose, and opportunity.
We’re incredibly excited to roll out this feature soon and to see how players will use the Construction Hub to collaborate, earn, and build together.
Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch, sometime during Frost Season!
