With Block Explorer Shops right around the horizon, Block Explorers are about to get a whole lot more interesting! To celebrate, we’re hosting the Crafty Collector challenge to encourage players to collect the most badass Block Explorers in the Upland metaverse! This Wednesday, January 12th at 9:00 AM PT, the Crafty Collector Challenge will begin! Players will compete by swapping their UNFT's to collect the rarest Block Explorers in Upland to build up their Collector Scores over the weekend, earning huge UPX and Spark rewards. Submissions will close on Thursday, January 13th, at 11:59 PM PT, and the event ends on Friday, January 14th at 11:59 PM PT.
Each player will be scored based on a few core metrics:
What Makes it Crafty?
Each one of these stats will influence every player’s overall Collector Score for the duration of the contest. This value is a weighted function of the following three metrics. 15% of the score is derived from the Trading Volume, 15% from Trading Diversity, and 70% from the player’s Rarity Score. Only players who have a strong performance in all 3 categories will top the leaderboard.
Note: These parameters will not change for this current iteration of the Crafty Collector but they are subject to change in the future.
Players will be scored on every swap they make while the contest is live, so swap wisely! If you’re seeking trading partners, we recommend checking out the #crafty-collector channel in Discord. Players are free to complete swaps throughout Upland, this contest is not gated by location.
Rewards
Trading is one of the fundamental activities in the Upland metaverse, so we wanted to make sure there’s enough of the Reward pie to go around. As such, the top 100 players with the highest Collection Score will win UPX, while the top 50 players will earn both Spark and UPX rewards! Details below.
Tracking Results
Like the Ultimate Fan and Thrifty Trader Challenges, this contest will have a leaderboard that will update periodically throughout the contest (about once a day). Keep track of the leaderboard to ensure your spot among the top players and plan out your ascent to the top!
Mitigating Fraud
It’s to be expected that some players will attempt to take advantage of this type of competition to push themselves up the leaderboard. Be advised that we will be monitoring player activity very carefully. Any players suspected of fraudulent behavior will be subject to review by our data team. Offenders will be disqualified from the competition.
Please take note that this is the first iteration of this contest and we’ll be carefully monitoring the results to improve the competition in the future.
