Get your maps ready as you embark on a special cross-city scavenger hunt! Continue with the Genesis Week fun by participating in the Light It Upland Hunt! This hunt starts on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 10:00 AM PT in Brooklyn and will require you to explore various cities around Upland. There are tons of rewards available including the Cars NFT Wizard Block Explorer, UPX, Spark, and an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind MV Motors Series 1 Genesis Trim! Registration opens Monday, June 6th at 8:00 AM PT and will remain open until two hours before the start of the hunt. Note: Registered participants will receive 25 Sends at the start of the Hunt and receive ~50% of their fees by completing a competitive hunt in its entirety.

This Hunt will require travel to various cities so please expect to spend some time traveling between clues. Total travel time is expected to be about 60 minutes. Please keep in mind that despite traveling to other cities, the Light It Upland Hunt details will only be visible when “Brooklyn” is selected on the Treasures tab in-app. You may need to switch the city selected on the Treasure tab back to Brooklyn to review the clues for the Hunt.
To register, head over to the “treasures” tab in the Upland App and tap the “globe” icon in the bottom left to select “Brooklyn.” Once your city has been chosen, register for either the competitive tier to compete with other players or the casual tier for the more leisurely hunt. You can only register for one Hunt, so choose wisely!
The first 200 Uplanders to complete the Competitive Light It Upland Hunt will be eligible for rewards. The first Uplander to finish will win an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind MV Motors Series 1 Genesis Trim! Additionally, the top 200 Uplanders will win the Cars NFT Wizard Block Explorer and the top 50 finishers will also win a variable amount of UPX and Spark. The rewards of UPX and Spark are determined by your place in finishing the hunt, so be quick to earn the top reward! As always, players will earn back roughly 50% of their registration fee just for completing the hunt while the other 50% contributes to the prize pool.
There will be no reward ranks for the Casual Light It Upland Hunt. Instead, players who complete the Hunt will receive approximately ~100% of their registration fee through rewards at the completion of each clue.

We understand that Upland Hunts can be competitive and stressful, which means that some players are inevitably left out. For those who would like to try the Hunt without the pressure of competition, this additional hunting tier allows players to complete Upland Hunts at their own pace and try to solve the clues with minimal time pressure. Players who participate in the casual tier will receive 100% of their registration fee (plus a chance to win bonus UPX) for completing the hunt.
Once a scavenger hunt begins, you will need to click into the “treasures” menu and select the hunt you previously registered for. Selecting the first location will prompt you with a clue. Each clue will describe the name of the next location in the hunt and you’ll have to use the resources available to you to find out what the address of that location is.
Throughout the hunt, expect to see a variety of different types of clues including ciphered messages, riddles, and historical references. We highly recommend you have Google handy, alongside a pen or pencil with some paper to help you out. You can also discuss the clues with other Uplanders on the #scavengerhunt Discord channel!
