World Tourism Day is coming around on September 27, so you know what that means … World Tourism Week in Upland!
We are the metaverse mapped to the real world, so there is no better way to celebrate than by giving everyone a reason to visit cities all across Upland. Check out our World Tourism Week Challenge and the fantastic rewards waiting for you.
This challenge is perfect for those with a travel bug as players will need to complete 10 city tours. That’s right! We’re reopening 10 city tours, beginning on September 26, just for this event. It’s a great way for new players to catch up on tours they may have missed, and there are some great rewards in our World Tourism Week Giveaway!
The tours start on the West Coast of the U.S., then move east over the course of the week. The tour ends with our two international cities, Porto and Rio de Janeiro. Be sure to register for each city tour to save your spot! Check out the table below for details.
As a special bonus, a different community member will host a tour each day. It’s like having your very own tour guide! Here is a list of our amazing UCN members streaming in a city near you!
Tuesday September 27: RusselleNVy - San Francisco Movie Tour - 6 PM PT
Wednesday September 28: SSFTG - Chicago Mob Tour - 10 AM PT
Thursday September 29: Remdog - Manhattan World War I Memorial - 2 PM PT
Friday September 30: Upland Analysis - Rio Marvelous Tour - 10 AM PT
If you haven’t had the chance to do a city tour yet, these are special events in Upland that only happens after a city launch. In these tours, players visit some of the most popular and historic locations in a city. This is a great way to learn about the city and even plan where you might want to purchase some properties.
For this year’s challenge, players have a chance to win two unique Block Explorers. First, there’s a Wayfarer Block Explorer for any player that completes all 10 tours. If a player has previously completed one of the tours already, that will not count toward this challenge. Check out the Wayfarer Block Explorer below!
The second prize is the World Tourism ‘22 Block Explorer. To enter the drawing, players must complete at least one city tour. Every time players complete a tour, they will earn 10 entries into the drawing. Those looking for the maximum entries can complete all 10 tours for a total of 100 giveaway entries. For the drawing, we will double the number of players who complete all 10 city tours to establish the total Block Explorers available in the drawing (with a maximum of 1,000 mints). So, if 200 people finish all 10 tours, there will be 400 World Tourism ‘22 Block Explorers in the drawing. Check out the World Tourism ‘22 Block Explorer below!
