Until now, cars in Upland have been all about racing and manual travel between cities. But that’s changing. Soon, your vehicles will play a key role in attracting Uppies to neighborhoods and properties.

Transportation Gets a Bigger Role

Transportation is the heartbeat of any thriving city, and now it’s becoming a core part of Upland’s ecosystem. Vehicles will no longer just sit on properties, they’ll actively influence how many Uppies show up in your neighborhoods.

The logic is simple: connected cities feel more alive. The more transportation options in your area, the more attractive it becomes for Uppies.

But here’s the twist, not all vehicles have the same impact. Cars, vans, buses, and semi-trucks (with trailers coming soon!) will all attract Uppies at different levels.

Cargo capacity matters. The higher a vehicle’s cargo capacity, the more attractive the neighborhood becomes. Why? Because Uppies need goods delivered, service structures require supplies, and logistics keep a city running. While vehicles will remain stationary on the map, they’ll simulate the flow of deliveriesand essential services, making your neighborhoods feel alive and connected like a real, thriving city.

Private planes will also count toward attracting Uppies, adding another layer of prestige and connectivity to your city.

Starting out, transportation influence will be measured by how many cars, trucks, and buses are parked in your neighborhoods, so if you’ve been holding onto vehicles, you’re already ahead of the game.

Your transportation setup won’t just attract Uppies. It’s also going to impact your Influence Score, which will eventually help determine your yield earnings in the game. So vehicles aren’t just a cool flex anymore they’re a strategic asset for your Upland empire.
