Genesis Week is right around the corner, which means it’s nearly time for a brand new city to land in the metaverse. We’re incredibly excited to announce that we will be releasing Las Vegas, Nevada, LIVE while we are celebrating in the city itself on Friday, June 10th, at 10:00 AM PT!
City openings are among the most popular events in the Upland metaverse, and we are so incredibly excited to celebrate live and in-person with our community for the very first time! In honor of Genesis Week, we are seeking to further bridge the digital and physical worlds with in-person engagements. This creates the unique experience of in-person attendees minting the city that they are actually in! We will be supporting our online audience with an intimate stream featuring members of the Upland team, meaning you’ll get the unique experience of watching them live in action. It’s sure to be a release for the ages!
Las Vegas will be released with a modified strategy where properties will unlock gradually. This means that the initial opening will include 77k props, and will only expand depending on market demand.
As always, all collections will be tokenized prior to the
release of Las Vegas. After the initial release, all collections
related to the released properties will be revealed. The remaining
collections will be held until the remaining parts of Vegas are
unlocked. Any collection properties that cover locked and unlocked
properties will be re-priced at release to reflect market
value.
Las Vegas is currently planned to release on Friday, June 10th, at 10:00 AM PT, and roughly ~20% of properties will be reserved under the “Fair Start Act” (FSA). As with most recent city releases, Las Vegas will be released in “Vanilla mode”, and collections that are included in the initial release will be revealed 1 week after the release. The release of Las Vegas will be preceded by a stress test on Tuesday, June 7th, at 8:00 AM PT.
