Join us for the Genesis Challenge, the ultimate challenge that brings together all the exciting Genesis Week activities in Upland! Throughout Genesis Week, Uplanders can participate in specific activities to earn points for the Genesis Challenge. By completing these specific activities, players will have the chance to win exclusive rewards, including an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway for the opportunity to win the one-of-a-kind, highly exclusive Genesis Totem! Additionally, there will be daily drawings where participants can win even more rewards.

The Genesis Challenge will start on Monday, June 5th at 9 AM PT and ends on Friday, June 9th at 9 AM PT.

Cross-City Collections

Before we dive into the details of the Genesis Challenge, we would like to discuss the new Cross-City Collections coming to Upland. Last year during Genesis Week, four new Cross-City Collections were introduced into Upland. This year, we will introduce three new Cross-City Collections: 

‍

The International Nomad Collection Criteria: 

• Own 3 Properties in 3 Different Countries 
• Reward: 800 UPX 
• Boost: 1.3x

The South American Nomad Collection Criteria: 

• Own 3 Properties in South American Cities 
• Reward: 800 UPX 
• Boost: 1.3x 

‍

The European Nomad Collection Criteria: 

• Own 3 Properties in European Cities 
• Reward: 800 UPX 
• Boost: 1.3x

Genesis Challenge Details

Starting Monday, June 5th at 9 AM PT and ending on Friday, June 9th at 9 AM PT there will be four daily drawing periods each with their own set of rewards. Players can earn entries by simply playing Upland and collecting points. Refer to the sections below to learn how you can maximize your points for the giveaway and top the Genesis Challenge leaderboard to win additional rewards! 

Rewards

There are plenty of rewards up for grabs in the Genesis Challenge. The top 500 players on the Genesis Challenge leaderboard will receive exclusive rewards. Take a look at the rewards chart below to get a better idea of what you can potentially win!

Badges

Players who earn a certain amount of points during the Genesis Challenge will receive a Genesis ‘23 Badge. 

• Genesis ‘23 Badge (Lvl. 1): Awarded to players who earned at least 300 points in the 2023 Genesis Challenge.
• Genesis ‘23 Badge (Lvl. 2): Awarded to players who earned at least 600 points in the 2023 Genesis Challenge.
• Genesis ‘23 Badge (Lvl. 3): Awarded to players who earned at least 1000 points in the 2023 Genesis Challenge.

Terminals

There are two opportunities to win a terminal in the Genesis Challenge. If you place among the top 10 on the Genesis Challenge Leaderboard, you will be awarded a terminal. Additionally, we will be giving away one train terminal after each daily drawing period.

Block Explorers

There are two types of Block Explorers that players can win in the Genesis Challenge. 

‍

The “Genesis ‘23 Harmonic” Block Explorer will be awarded to the top 100 players on the Genesis Challenge leaderboard.

‍

The “Genesis ‘23 Voltage” Block Explorer can be won via the daily drawings. After each daily drawing period, 75 players will be randomly selected as winners, resulting in a total of 300 winners over the course of the four daily periods.

‍

UPX and Spark

There will be two ways to win UPX and Spark rewards in the Genesis Challenge. If you place in the top 500 on the leaderboard, you will win UPX. If you place in the top 200, you will win Spark. UPX and Spark rewards can also be won in the daily drawings. There will be 25 winners of 25,000 UPX and 5 winners of 0.1 Spark after each daily drawing period, so be sure to get active in Upland during Genesis Week!

Grand Prize Entry

There will be two opportunities to win an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind, highly exclusive Genesis Totem via the Genesis Challenge. 

• 1st Place on the Genesis Challenge Leaderboard will receive an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway
• One lucky player will win an entry into the Genesis Week Grand Prize Giveaway via the final daily drawing period. 

Only one Uplander will leave Genesis Week with the Genesis Totem, and it could be you!

How to Earn Points

Starting on Monday, June 5th at 9 AM PT, players will earn entries into the Genesis Challenge Giveaway by playing Upland and collecting points during Genesis Week. Each point earned equals one entry into the giveaway, and there is no limit on the number of points a player can earn throughout the Genesis Challenge. The amount of points earned for each daily drawing is the cumulative total of points earned throughout the week, so players are encouraged to continue earning points for more chances to win.

Important Note: The Daily Action Cap is the number of times you can complete an activity per day. The Historic Upland Tour and SuperFest Hunt are both excluded from this as they can only be completed once per player throughout the duration of the Genesis Challenge.

• Sends - Send your Block Explorer to a Property
• Visit a Metaventure - Visit any Metaventure throughout all of Upland (Players can visit their own Metaventure, but all sends must be unique)
• Property Mints - Mint a new Property
• Property Sales - Sell a Property to another Uplander
• Property Purchases - Buy a Property from another Uplander
• Spawn a Standard Treasure - Spawn a Treasure in the Standard Treasure Hunting Mode
• Complete a Collection - Add Properties to a Collection to complete the Collection
• Compete in Treasure Rush - Participate in any of the Treasure Rushes
• Compete in a Race - Compete in any race in Upland. 
• Complete the Historic Upland Tour - Join the Tour on Wednesday, June 7th at 12 PM PT (Registration starts Tuesday, June 6th at 10 AM PT). Visit all locations on the Tour to earn Points. Can only be completed once per player throughout the duration of the Genesis Challenge
• Complete the SuperFest Hunt - Join the Hunt on Thursday, June 8th at 10 AM PT (Registration starts Wednesday, June 7th at 10 AM PT). Find all the locations in the Hunt to earn Points. Can only be completed once per player throughout the duration of the Genesis Challenge

Note: Players can only complete a collection once. Breaking and re-completing the collection will only count once.

Event Terms & Conditions

1. The Genesis Challenge event will be held between Monday, June 5th, at 9 AM PT and Friday, June 9th, at 9 AM PT. The event is conducted by the creator of Upland: Uplandme, Inc. (herein: “the game operator”). It includes multiple events, which are here defined as specific events with their own rules and times within this set week. Certain details of these events are mentioned here, while others, by design, are to be revealed on social media during the course of the event.
2. No purchase is necessary to be eligible for rewards.
3. All Upland users are eligible to participate in competitions so long as they hold an Upland account and provided that they have abided by and continue to abide by the game operator’s Terms of Use (AKA: Terms and Conditions or Terms of Service).
4. Participating in these events grants the user entry into a drawing for prizes (see section 7 below). Users may participate in multiple events and are eligible to receive multiple entries for the grand prize drawing.
5. Having more than one account per person is strictly prohibited. If the use of multiple accounts by a single individual is detected, it may void said user’s eligibility in all activities and drawings, in addition to other potential penalties or consequences levied by the game operator.
6. Winners of prizes will be drawn daily, with the grand prize drawing taking place on Friday, June 9th, 2023.
7. If no user wins a specific event, the distribution of leftover prizes will be at the discretion of the game operator.
8. Any changes to the overall or single events are at the sole discretion of the game operator.
