More and more types of Metaventures are being made available through City Halls. We are excited to announce that players can now head to any open City Hall and submit their Showroom applications. The process for applying for a Showroom Metaventure no longer requires the use of a form.

City Halls just got another renovation! Starting today, players can now head to any City Hall throughout Upland and easily submit a Metaventure Application. This means City Halls now offer the functionality to submit custom Block Explorer designs, Executive Statues, and Metaventure Applications at any of the City Hall locations.
Note: City Halls that are currently under construction will have the same functionality once they are fully built. All applications for Metaventures apart from Map Asset & Structure Ornament Factories and Structure Ornament Showrooms will be submitted only through City Halls going forward. The original application link is no longer available.

Starting in San Francisco, renovations are coming to City Hall properties in every Upland city. These new, improved municipal buildings add more curb appeal and improved utility.
Construction is already underway in San Francisco, and you’ll start seeing more City Hall projects popping up in every city. Read on for more information on what this means for Upland.
City Halls are Upland’s municipal hubs where players complete various tasks. For example, players can currently go to City Hall to submit custom Block Explorer designs when they level up to Director status. That functionality is staying, and soon City Hall buildings will also serve as the hubs for Metaventure applications. This means that the application process starts inside Upland, which is a nice way to add a little more immersion to the metaverse while making it easier to submit Metaventure applications.
This feature is still in development, and we’ll update the community as soon as it's ready.
While waiting for the new Metaventure application functionality, players can look out for City Hall construction projects popping up all over Upland. And for players keen on seeing a City Hall in their city, we’re inviting everyone to stake Spark to help with construction.

As we mentioned earlier, every city will have a City Hall. However, construction won’t be simultaneous for all cities, and some City Hall structures will look different than others. For example, some higher-density cities such as San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City will have custom structures that look like their actual City Hall buildings.
In other cities we’ll see beautiful City Hall buildings but, they will not be facsimiles of the real thing. Take a look at a preview image of San Francisco’s City Hall below!
We should note that San Francisco’s City Hall is a unique situation. The original City Hall (seen in the image above) was created before Spark was in Upland. It was essentially placeholder code. Now that we can simulate the construction of a bigger, better City Hall with Spark, we moved the original building across the street. When the new City Hall is ready to open, we will remove the old City Hall from San Francisco.
