On Thursday, August 14th at 9 AM PT, Rome will open its doors, inviting players to explore its rich culture, historic significance, and vibrant neighborhoods. From ancient ruins to bustling piazzas, this is your chance to own property in one of the world’s greatest cities!

As always, there will be multiple ways to get involved, pre-sale property bundles, exclusive block explorer deals, and the official city opening itself. This is more than just an expansion, it’s a historic moment for Upland.

Meet the Roman Uppies — First Look

With Uppies coming soon to Upland, we’re excited to pull back the curtain for the very first time on the unique residents you’ll meet in the Eternal City.

Each city in Upland will have its own distinctive Uppies, adding depth, personality, and cultural flavor to every future city opening. Rome, with its rich history and timeless charm, provides the perfect stage for this first debut.

When the Uppie Discovery mini-game launches, players will be able to explore cities, discover these charming companions, befriend them, and mint them as their own. In Rome, Uppies reflect the warmth, generosity, and vibrance of Italian culture:

Players who hold the pass on the snapshot date will receive a specific Rome property address to mint, along with the ability to build their unique Rome structure. You’ll need to travel to Rome to mint your property before the window closes, any unminted properties will be released for public minting after the deadline.

Collections Reveal

Rome’s opening will follow the familiar collection reveal format from past city launches, keeping the excitement alive week after week.

Collections will remain a mystery until they are fully minted out. Each Thursday, we’ll announce the newly completed collections from the previous week, with the first reveal on Thursday, August 21st.

This rolling reveal will continue through the end of the Sizzle 2025 Season. Then, on Thursday, September 18th, any collections that are still incomplete will be announced, locked, repriced, and reopened for public minting.

Mint Masters Badges

Mint Masters Badges will be active for this release, giving players the chance to earn recognition for their minting achievements in Rome. With new properties, competitive opportunities, and plenty of ground to cover, it’s your moment to claim a badge and show off your minting skills.
