We are excited to announce that Uplanders can now construct Showrooms! These unique structures are integral to the future of Upland as they will allow Uplanders to sell 3D items, such as Outdoor Decor and other assets in the metaverse. Showrooms are required to sell 3D items that are manufactured in Upland. In the first Showrooms, Metaventure owners will sell their own manufactured Outdoor Decor items. In the future, any Uplander can send requests to Showroom owners to list their 3D items for sale as sub-merchants.
Initially, Showrooms will have limited functionality and size. Uplanders currently part of the Outdoor Decor Beta program will soon be the first to use these structures to sell their very own creations. You’ll finally be able to get your hands on the much-anticipated UGC models that your fellow Uplanders manufactured as part of the Outdoor Decor Beta.
All Uplanders will have the ability to build a Showroom on their property should they wish. In the future, Uplanders will be able to apply for and open Showrooms as Metaventures to sell their own creations (after going through a review process and manufacturing them) or accept requests to sell items from other players as sub-merchants. Entrepreneurs may also choose to partner with a manufacturer and fill their Showrooms with others’ models.
With these structures, inventory capacity will be relative to the size of the Showroom. Keep in mind, a Showroom’s capacity can allow for a maximum amount of items to be on display for sale, but the available space on the property will also play a part in how many can fit. Unlike factories, there will be no dedicated space on the property required to place items. When space allows, items can be placed, meaning they’re for sale. Additionally, we expect to have multiple Showroom designs to choose from, beginning today with Small Showroom I.
