If there’s one thing in Upland that makes the metaverse more interesting, it’s Spark! Cars, Outdoor Decor, and property Structures all need Spark to come to life. It’s a resource that makes each city and neighborhood unique, and now is your chance to stock up!
Starting Sunday, November 20 at 9:00 AM PT, Spark Week officially begins. Maybe you joined Upland for our FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM activities. Maybe you grabbed a new property in our recent Rio property expansion. Whatever the reason you’re in Upland, Spark takes your experience to the next level!
Spark week this month brings a Spark Sale, Status-Up Spark Rewards, and a Sparked Up Treasure Tier! Read on for all the details.
One of the best ways to earn extra (free!) Spark is to level up your Upland Status during Spark Week. These Spark rewards are greater than the standard Spark earned when leveling up, so if you’re close to a level up, now is the time to go for it!
Status-Up Spark Rewards run from Monday, November 21 at 9:00 AM PT to Monday, November 28 at 9:00 AM PT.
The amount of Spark rewarded differs for each level. Here’s a breakdown:
It isn’t Spark week without a Sparked Up Treasure Tier! In this special Sparked-Up Treasure Hunt Tier, players scour cities in search of various Spark chests. The Sparked-Up Competitive Treasure Hunts run from Thursday, November 24 at 9:00 AM PT to Sunday, November 27 at 9:00 AM PT.
Note: Please keep in mind that players need to complete KYC identity verification in order to participate and collect rewards.
There are four types of chests: Grey, Blue, Metal, and Spark. Each chest has different rewards depending on a city’s Treasure Hunting Tier. Check out our graphic below for specific rewards. Please note that there is no Riot Mode bonus for Spark Week boosted treasures.
Expect to see Spark deposited into your account a day or two after the competitive tier has concluded. Once the Sparked Up Tier comes to an end, we will collect the results and distribute Spark rewards to all players who discovered one of the treasures above. Winners will receive an email notifying them that their rewards are now available.
Last but not least, the Upland Store has a limited-time Spark Sale during Spark Week. Hop in, register, and stock up! A quick tip: the two smallest quantities, 0.05 and 0.1 Spark, will be available on mobile and web for players looking to grab a smaller amount of Spark.
Remember: Spark is only available in the Upland Store during Spark Week. If you’re short on Spark, now is the perfect time to get some.
If you’re a new player or are just trying to figure out what Spark is and what it does, no problem! In Upland, we are simulating many aspects of the real world. There is a lot of building in Upland, including Structures on properties as well as things like cars and Outdoor Decor in factors.
Think of Spark as fuel that keeps Upland factories running and feeds the little llama construction workers building on properties. (Okay, we don’t actually have llama construction workers, but use your imagination!)
Every object that needs to be built or constructed takes a minimum amount of Spark. The more Spark put into building something, the faster that object is built.
So if you have a new property, you’ll need Spark to build a structure on the property. You’d do this if you want to have an Upland Home Address or build a Metaventure Shop on your property.
Unlike UPX, Spark isn’t available at any time. There are certain events – such as Spark Week – when players can earn or buy Spark. If you plan on building in Upland, be sure to grab Spark while you can!
