Creator Royalties

Every transaction in a Metaventure or Showroom incurs a 5% fee. This fee sends UPX to the Community Pool, which funds various activities and rewards such as Treasure Hunts. The new UGC royalties reallocate 50% of this 5% transaction fee directly to the UGC creator.

The “creator” is the manufacturer who produced the item in an Upland Factory. Distributing UGC royalties in this way provides valuable UPX for creators without imposing an additional tax on purchasers.

UGC royalties apply to selected assets sold in Metaventures and Showrooms on the secondary market.

Royalties are distributed to creators monthly. Any manufactured UGC asset — past, present, and future — generate these royalties, providing sustained UPX royalties income for the creator!

The UGC royalties are all about supporting the UGC community and making Upland an exciting place for designers. Uplandme, Inc. receives no funding from UGC royalties; 100% of the UPX royalties go to the creator.

What this means

• You design a kart, an ornament, a structure, or a decor item in the UGC Playground.
• Your design is manufactured and sold to another Architect.
• That Architect resells it on the marketplace. You earn UPX royalties on that resale.
• It resells again. You earn again. Every time. Forever.
